What KICKSTARTER(S) are you BACKING and WHY?

It seems like it's been at least 10 years since Kevin Wilson designed anything particularly good, in my opinion.

Pretty tempted by Trick Shot. Price is reasonable (until you see shipping estimates), it won’t be available at retail and my eldest is playing hockey this winter. So Very Wrong About Games has said nice things too.

I am amused that they list hard-to-find as a feature.

It looks like you can ignore the rules about fighting pretty easily.

Spire's End: Hildegard showed up outta nowhere on my doorstep today. The playmat is gorgeous! This one might actually break my Warcry streak.

Yea that looks great. Haven't heard of the game but it's certainly eye catching.

Chudyk's latest joint (although, the pnp has been out for a while) is open for backing today, Aegean Sea. A kind of spatial thing with signature tucking under a mat, the new thing being that you can turn your cards into islands that offer goods and special abilities and other players can then go visit/take control.

I try to quit CMON, they pull me back in. I got a few metal buddies to agree to split up the otherwise too expensive set of Iron Maiden Eddies. There are 15 for "pre-order" and they fit one of eight titles in the CMON lineup. I'm genuinely more interested in painting a few. But not fifteen. Hence my buddies.

Those 15 Eds are gonna cost 88 bucks.

And today... ON KICKSTATER. I'm paying 100 bucks for Cthulhu: Death May Die season 3. Fuuuuuuuuuuck. I feel like I just got off the "I'm collecting Zombicide, and not playing it" merry go round, only to jump on the "I'm collecting C:DMD, and not playing it."

OTOH. I do like love painting this stuff in my downtime.

Meanwhile, it looks like I won't be spending $250 on the Heroscape crowd funding project because it has stalled. "Needing" 8K backers, Hasbro hasn't seen a dozen buy-ins in over a WEEK. It's stuck around 2,900.

So. The hell with it. A 'Scape relaunch would have been neat, but not this iteration. The only thing I was genuinely jazzed for were the new castle walls components.

I love Cthulhu Death May Die. I put it in my top 50 last summer when I made that list.

But no way I'm backing this, at least not at its current price. It will be available in retail for $85ish. So you're paying $55 (this is if shipping does not increase above the estimate) for the stretch goals. Right now, it's mostly a bunch of investigators. We already have 30+ of them before this season even dropped. It's the least useful thing to add.

There would have to be some very gnarly stretch goals to pull me in. I still haven't touched season 2, need to get to that.

Very tempted by Aegean Sea, latest from Chudyk and Asmadi. But it's already made its goal and has no crowdfunding bonuses, so I will just wait for retail on it.

They joked that while they had made their stated goal, the real goal was $37.9 million so they were shutting down the company. Mad respect for that joke.

Aegean sea sounds quite cool as a game concept to me, spinning out islands and such.
