What’s Going on at Mystery Mansion?
Based on the award-winning Betrayal at House on the Hill board game, Betrayal at Mystery Mansionoffers 25 brand new haunts based on popular Scooby-Doo episodes and movies. Playing as one of the members of The Mystery Inc. Gang, you explore the mansion and its grounds, finding clues, encountering strange occurrences, and maybe even catching sight of a monster!
When you find enough Clues to learn what’s really going on, that’s when the Haunt starts, and one player will switch sides to play the role of the Monster! Will you be able to stop them before they carry out their sinister plan?
Every time you play, it’s a new game making it the perfect family board game addition.

Still, I'm a little disappointed that Betrayal at House on the Hill isn't getting the classic Avalon Hill treatment, with a thick rulebook designed to address every possible aspect of the simulation. Chits, CRT, assymetrical starting positions and victory conditions, and every rule numbered something like 1.3.a.2.

Betrayal isn’t that kind of game. I think we all just need to get over it.
Betrayal at House on the Hill allowed for up to six players. The Scooby Doo crew has only five members: Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby. So hopefully this game includes a generic older white guy character who is the betrayer every game. That's how worked in the cartoon. There was often just one extra character each episode, like a landlord or caretaker of the haunted house, and that was always the guy under the rubber monster mask at the end.
