Cowboy Bebop: Space Serenade
Game Information
Cowboy Bebop – Deck-Building is a competitive deck-building game with 2 to 4 players in which you play one of the 4 members of the famous Bebop crew
Each player tries to prove that he is the best bounty hunter by getting the most reputation points at the end of the game. To do so, they will have to capture the criminals wanted by the ISSP, in a spirit of limited collaboration. During the game, players will be able to buy cards that will allow them to improve their personal deck, in order to better manage the resources necessary for their victory. They will also be able to move from planet to planet with gas or use their special abilities and even those of other players if they have in the same place as them. The game ends when the terrible Vicious is captured or has fled.

The show is about this oddball group of people who happen upon each other. They learn together, they grow as a team and as a family unit (even if they are never really friends). Each has some personal humps to get over.
The characters are forever starving, and hustling for food and money — always one step away from not being in business any longer.
Bounty hunting is what they do for money, but it’s not what defines them.

An unthemed card game and a marketer walk into a bar . . .

It doesn't look like a pure deck builder or a slapped on IP to me. Looks like they built a pick up and deliver game for the IP with deck building as a primary mechanic. It actually kind of looks like the Jasco Cowboy Bebop game, but in that one you have a set deck that you can't add to or improve.
Japanime Games actually does design good deck builders, although their themes tend to put me off, so I am interested in this one. I have the Jasco game, which is really good, but it is a coop and is more about the broader themes that n815e mentioned. I really like it, but I think it would also be fun to play a Cowboy Bebop game that it thematically lighter - just competitive bounty hunting.
I’m at the point with deckbuilders where I have to ask “Is it a pure deckbuilder? Is it as good as Aeon’s End? No? Pass. Is it not a pure deckbuilder? Is it as good as Tyrants of the Underdark? No? Pass.”

I respect that. I'm just an eternal optimist. If the game play is as good Tanto Cuore, but with a less offensive theme, I would totally be into it.
