I'm fine with character elimination as an alternative to player elimination. But removing even character elimination just thematically ruined The Fate of the Nostromo. The new rule with the keys sounds great. It's true that most people tended to run for the keys at the start of the game, instead of checking out the objective tokens.

The debate on elimination is odd to me as I've only ever played with character elimination up until the finale as per the new rules. I assumed it was standard but it must have been a variant that has now been incorporated into the game.

With a long-form fun-times game like this I don't really want my friends to get kicked out partway through. More spam in the cabin for Otis makes for a better game too.
