It has always had an ATM/Credit Card. Although it is pretty low tech. The cards are just very stiff cardboard. You slide them into one of two slots to push a button. One slot will tell you how much money you withdraw. The other slot tells you how much you spend to but something.

I think it's a little unfair to think a game like Dark Tower, which was $55-$65 in 1981, would be a $35 game now. I've played the new version at Origins, and I think it does a good job of invoking the nostalgia, while at the same time being a much better game with some interesting mechanisms of its own.

I have both the original Stop Thief and Restoration's version, and I think the same about them. Assuming the original was about $20 in 1979, I think the price of Restoration's version was more than reasonable.

That’s a fair point on price.

To be clear, I’m not against Restoration modernizing the games. Gods sake they have all needed some work and I totally think Thunder Road could only benefit from some light rich updating and a little more detail. But by using the KS format and appealing to modern marketing sensibilities, they overburden simple games with too much junk.

I mean, I’ve never even played the Downforce expansions. I just don’t see what value they add to an already perfect game.

Then there’s Unmatched, which I would now rate as one of my top ten game’s of all time…I barely regard it as having anything to do with Epic Duels.

Well, yeah, but a computer cost $3000 in 1981 as well. You can't look at pricing on this kind of thing that way. Cheap foreign production has fundamentally changed what we purchase and how much we pay. (That's why all our houses are neck-deep in junk.)

The question is what you would be willing to pay in comparison to alternative uses of the money. Is this a Pandemic, a Spirit Island, or a Gloomhaven?
