I merged a thread into the Politics thread. It got added but the posts aren't showing up.

The One about This is America? That was a pretty good conversation, Mad Dog, for a pretty important music video. It seems dumb that if someone wants to post an impactful music video they have to post it to the politics thread, no?

This site is a great place to talk about that video cuz the people here are diverse and intelligent

Do we want to a have a new policy regarding serious non-gaming conversation on our new site?

Cuz I’m okay with you moving the discussion. I’m okay with you accidentally deleting it (if it was an accident). But saying, « no big loss » strikes me as pretty jUdgmental and maybe lacking the temperament to be an effective mod.

Why are new posts from the politics thread being suppressed from showing up in Recent Topics? Again if it’s a change in policy, I think you should be transparent. Cuz it’s looking reckless from this vantage point.

If I deleted it I would just say that I deleted it. Any single thread in this forum getting accidentally removed would be no great loss. You're kidding yourself if you think otherwise. If the site owners want to remove me as moderator that's cool with me. No great loss there either.

That’s why I’m posted it in this thread, it’s a bug. Just a highly suspicious one given the timing, that’s all.

I do think it’s a loss though losing that discussion. Not because we need to keep it for prosperity but because an actual discussion was going on and I think some people were learning things and making great points. It’s not like we can pick up that discussion eaSily given the politics thread is anchored.

Probably the wrong forum to post this but I’m curious if it’s a bug. I’m going through my old reviews to add the new star rating awesome feature that Shellie recently added, and I noticed that my 2014 review of Hobbit Battle of the Fuce Armies has over 27k hits.

That can’t be right, and if it is then I wonder what causes that. Do some things just show up maybe on google searches more often?

Just seeing if I can post here, since it wont let me post in the YouTube thread (When I hit submit, it just reloads the compose page with my text still in the message field).

Edit - How about a youtube video here?

Edit 2 - That worked, then the site started timing out on me, and using my phone to get around that, it still wont let me post in the Youtube thread.

Edit 3 - Looks like it wont let me post Youtube links in that thread, though I can post Youtube links in other threads. I pasted the Youtube link into the message field but put a space after the first 'h' in the URL and it posted. Then I edited that message and put bold tags around the unmodified URL and my post was deleted from the thread altogether.

I tried that, also didn't work. It has happened before, so I'm sure it will fix itself at some point.

It looks like the DNS record for "fortressat.com" didn't get restored when there was the DNS issue a while back.

Normally I always use TWB.G, but muscle memory is a strong thing, and I was distracted while typing. Then I was surprised not to see it come up.

Not sure if it's a one-time glitch, but when you share an article on Facebook, the thumbnail is the author's picture instead of the article picture.
