Musically speaking I grew up in the middle of nowhere so it was pretty awesome seeing Motorhead for the first time on The Young Ones.

The Young Ones was the first place I heard The Damned and where I realized that Madness had more than one song. Also, Rip Rig + Panic.

Minor bit of ot, but I was shocked to see Vyvyan look remotely normal, let alone cast in the last Jedi:

Just so weird. I imagine him always having 4 brass stars embedded in his forehead. Forever.

I KNOW RIGHT? That freaked me out. I was thinking "gosh, he really turned out bad after University..."

The original British series had a lot of good Brit 80s music all through it and its predecessor, Life on Mars, was probably to same for 70s music but I can't remember now.

Yeah that's the one I meant - was there an American remake or something? Don't think that made it over here (I'm in Australia).

I seem to remember there's a neneh cherry connection to that band? I remember the song as well, all those were great on that show, even the dylan cover. I just got "11 past 11" in my head.

Also, Ade Edmondson makes a great appearance in the film clip of Terry by Kirsty McColl... worth a look, good song too.

Suggs had one of the best lines of the series (OK, not really but it was funny):
Rik: Do you lot know "Summer Holiday" by Cliff Richard?
Suggs: You hum it... I'll smash your face in.

Yeah, Neneh Cherry was in Rip Rig + Panic...at the time I didn’t know about The Pop Group, later I found out it was two not-Mark Stewart guys from that great band that were RR+P.

You know there is an Adrian Edmonton board game- “How to Be a Complete Bastard”.

Bosch! My wife loves that show. After hearing her talk about it all the time I went to Amazon to watch it, and accidentally watched the fourth season finale first. Wow, I thought, they sure covered a lot of ground in the pilot!

Letterkenny. As well as being a very sharp comedy (thank you Canada), it features some excellent tunes.

The "High Fidelity" TV show that came out earlier this year has a really good soundtrack.
