Pun intended.

I went all-in on the Xia: Legends of a Drift System Kickstarter. I ordered everything but the new 2000 metal coins.

Does this game need an insert to organize it?

The in-box insert is ok, tbh.

I am heavily considering buying Outlive, for 100€, from the publisher.

I think it’s what I wanted Remnants to be.

I just looked at that Dawnfall thing.

Look, I like Michał Orcaz and all...but why in the world would anyone buy that game? You might THINK you are going to be playing it for years to come...but you won’t be.

I totally understand someone dropping $250- hell, even $500- on Warhammer, Magic, or D&D stuff. That’s perennial. There will ALWAYS be players for those. Even when editions, blocks, or whatever change...those games are permanent. Heck, they even deserve the storage space!

But something like that...I look at al the try-hard world building, all the bland and uninspired miniatures, the massive glut of STUFF...and if it is not at a Gloomhaven level of quality, then it is a complete waste of time and money.

I can not imagine looking at my shelf five years from now and seeing that on there. To each their own, etc. but that game is about as redundant and DOA as it could possibly get.

It's in stock for like $55 online... Also if you haven't played it yet maybe see if you can try it first. I didn't love my couple plays of it personally, though some of the people there did.

Street Masters...

I only wanted a copy of the base game, but I don't think it made it to retail. I only ever see large KS lots on ebay. I don't want in on this for hundreds, but tens.

Is this line one of those KS exclusives? How does one just get the core game? Will this KS put the first base game on the shelves?

Damn KS...

Street Masters has a new kickstarter starting next week. They are saying that all prior content will be made available again so that might be your best bet for getting the base game as there wasn’t much retail distribution to my knowledge.

Charlie is way into the street masters games/line, hopefully he can poke into this thread and clarify. I'm guessing he knows.

To clarify, I'm only interested in the base game. I don't want to drop $100+ on expansions + stretch goals, when all I want to do is make kung fu sounds every now and then with the core game.

I also question some of Blacklists business practices, so wouldn't mind just getting an aftermarket copy, but I haven't seen any of those.
That is, again, base game only.

The first printing of Street Masters is completely sold out. Your best bet is to wait for the second printing and hope you can snag a copy when an online flgs puts it up for preorder. I would imagine the base game will sell for around $65 online.

Looks like the next Kickstarter is up now

Seems as if $109 is the cheapest option -- which is a reprint of all previous content. Doesn't look like they will even be selling pure base games to retailers, just either the original content pack or the expansion pack.

I bought into the Street Masters e passion, having bought all of the base game at Gen Con. This game is great, and I love the Sadlers, so I’m in.

If I’m going to drop 55 on the basic version I’d prefer to have the deluxe version for 100, because if I love it, I know I’d end up getting the pumped version.

Hmmm...looked at the campaign last night and I'm cured of wanting to back this. It's a shame as I also like the Sadlers, the game looks fun, and the setting is right up my ally. Dubious marketing and outright plagiarism doesn't sit well with me though. If only this were through a more honest company.
