After several weeks of painting, I finally finished up the miniatures for Blackstone Fortress. I had a great time painting them, learned a lot in the process, and am pleased with the overall results. Eager to finally play the game!

Next up is Space Hulk.. Had to reprime them since I did a poor job of doing it last time.

Haven't painted anything with it yet, but I picked up one of those Citadel painting handles over the weekend.

Also grabbed the 3 pack of giant spiders from the Wizkids line. Creepy sculpts.

These are the "Deadly Divas" from a game called Rumbleslam. I painted them in outfits I call, "The Korova Milk Maidens." Anyway, I just wrote a scathing post about this game on a separate thread about games we're resisting...

Love the game so much, rushed to get the heroes painted.

EDIT: Not sure why it's distorted, maybe it's too tall.

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, from The Others board game. I don't play it, I just really liked the models. These were larger models than I am used to, but it worked out fine. I didn't do any highlighting on them, as I liked them enough as is. Callin' them done! Pestilence is probably my favorite.

Now with that backlog out of the way, time to devote my full attention to my Gaslands cars.

No pictures yet, but self-quarantine has given me the permission I need to go HAM on my Warcry Starter Set. Good GOD there's a lot terrain in that box. Finally getting around to assembling it, then giving it a basic paint scheme, and then on to the actual fun part of getting the warbands ready. Really tempted to order some of the newer kits that have come out, the Splintered Fang or the Spire Tyrants or whatever.

I've also used the abundance of home time to finish painting my Ork Kill Team- a couple each of burnas, shootas, and choppas. Hopefully when we return to somewhat normalcy I can get to play more often.

Also somewhat related, I found this out on the interwebs from TWBG's very own Matt Thrower:

The Seaside Shamans (Shamen?) are now complete as well. Time for some druid-on-druid action!

Painting that tiny seagull was the most joyous experience I've had while painting miniatures!

Started painting my Marvel United game. I'm really pleased with the way Iron Man turned out. One down, many to go.

I don't know how deep into this rabbit hole I will plan on diving, but I picked up some Blitz Bowl sets as well as a Blitz Bowl paint set for dirt cheap at Barnes and Noble and I thinking about painting them. Watching some citadel videos, they talk about using different types of brushes. Can anyone offer a recommendation on a brush set? I did a quick Amazon search and it was like running a search for a new phone cord - tons of options from brands I don't recognize - I wonder if what's there will be fairly frustrating and low quality.

The best brushes I have are Citadel (GW). Get a couple small and mediums, you'll be good to go.

Also get some cheap shitty ones for dry brushing.

You can pull off some good drybrushing with old makeup brushes. Make up sponges are good for wet blending.
