What BOARD GAMES are you TRADING?

Hey I'll be at Geekway this weekend - driving over from KC... Would love to meet another F:ATtie in person.

I traded Imperial Settlers for Puerto Rico and Sail to India. I really wanted to reacquire PR. Sail to India is a bonus.

Traded Space Infantry and Pizza Box Football for a Dungeon Command lot. I'm looking forward to playing this.

Out: Castle panic and Combat Commander:Pacific

In: very large warhammer:invasion lot and Washingtons War

Both are games I've owned previously. I've had couple occasions for a lighter cdwg, and I did enjoy Washingtons wat for that slot. I enjoyed W:I, but traded it away for summoner wars, which might be a more tightly designed game, but the variability in W:I really called to me. I still have combat commander :Europe, which my war game buddy and I liked alot better than pacific.

Trade two Kevin Zucker Napoleonic war games (7 days of 1809 and 1806 Rossbach Avenged) off for Clash of Giants II and Caylus. The nappy games were not what I wanted from them, Clash of Giants II is great, Caylus was more of a kicker, but i like to play games that people obsess over even if they are really against my normal tastes.

W:I is a great game if you have a consistent opponent. Probably my favorite LCG/CCG, though I haven't tried netrunner.

I have gotten more weird-ass requests for trades in the last two weeks than in the last two years.

"I'd like your copy of Cleopatra and the Society of Architects. I can trade you Race the Wind plus something else for it. I already own Cleopatra, but lots of people always want to play so I'd like a second copy, and I need it to arrive prior to next Thursday. So the deal needs to happen today."

Used car dealer maybe?

A guy asked to buy my extra airplanes for cash, I explained to him that three of the five are out of print, that they likely will be reprinted someday, and that in the meantime they were stupidly expensive. His response was to ask how much for just one of the ones that is currently available. He's looking to buy a $12 item that is currently available at the discount stores. I had planned to trade for other planes, but now he's asking to purchase a single plane, which is more or less going to result in the same price as Cool Stuff by the time I put shipping into the picture. Haven't responded yet, considering "are you nuts?" as my lead-off.

Traded Shogun (cube tower/Wallenstein version) for Alchemists. For various reasons, Shogun wasn't seeing the table, so I figured I'd check out one of those new-fangled app-driven boardgames. It's pretty cool. I've played 2 2-player games with my girlfriend, who loves it (she's a Eurogamer, through and through), but I can see where a ton of depth and strategy considerations are introduced with more players in the mix. Have a 4-player set up this Thursday.
