I loathed first edition of Mansions of Madness, except for the pretty map tiles. I was delighted when I was able to finally sell it for cash to a local buyer, though I scanned all the map tiles before the sale. I think this was two years ago, so a lot of people were still doing social distancing.

But the buyer was a nice young woman who explained that her pandemic social pod was her four housemates. They had recently finished playing every published scenario for 2nd edition, and now wanted to play the revised content made for use with the first edition set. So when a local acquaintance invited a mutual friend over to play 2nd edition, I tagged along out of curiosity. 2nd edition was better, though still not ideal. I am philosophically opposed to board games that require app use, but it was nice to have the app handle all the tedious keeper stuff in a seemingly fair manner. Of the course of a couple of weeks, we played several scenarios and it felt somewhat like playing the Call of Cthulhu rpg. Maybe it helped that the acquaintance had his phone connected to a big screen tv, so we were seeing the app on a grand scale.

Hmm. Magical Athlete (Z-Man) in case anything happens to my my OG copy of Magical Athelete (Japon Brand.)

Cave Evil and Cave Evil: sPain for the upgraded components and potential replacements (our copy sees a lot of action.

I don't know whether both editions of Warcry or the multiple seasons of Underworlds count since everything is backwards-compatible, but maybe that. Similarly, I don't consider D&D Attack Wing to be a mere re-skin of X-Wing.

Nexus Ops, because I liked different parts of the AH vs FFG edition. And Omen: Reign of War... probably through sheer osmosis since that game has what, a dozen editions by now?

Just remembered I also have the regular Ares retail edition of War of the Ring and the Anniversary edition.

I currently have six copies of Blitz Bowl (three season 1, two season 2, and ultimate edition), but that's going to ballon to seven when I get a second copy of Ultimate Edition in the near future. I like having extra pitches and challenge decks because I run BzB events so as the organizer I like to have enough for everyone to play on. I've also built blocking terrain for the obstructed spaces and this enables me to run different themes on the various boards. Lots of options. Great game that's very easy to homebrew.

I also have a few copies of the Lion/Dragon Rampant books because they're so cheap and this way I can have a few on the table.

This thread does remind me that I need to pick up a copy of Z-Man’s Condottiere, my FFG version is in tatters. I might even sleeve it this time.

Almost the perfect card game.

I have multiples of:

War of the Ring: never got around to selling/regifting the FFG edition, which is obsoleted in all respects by the Ares edition.

Paths of Glory: got the 2004 Game of the Year edition back before I knew it would come back in deluxe form with a mounted map and thiccc counters. I bought the 2010 edition, and now I'll get the 2023 printing that has the 2nd try at the super deluxe treatment with double-sided map and actually correct historical scenario--hopefully without yet another bunch of carelessly introduced errata. This game's production history is a total goat rodeo. That means I'll have 2 old copies to regift.

Dune: homebrewed my own back before it anyone thought there was a chance it would come back to market, then it did so I got the GF9 one.

John Company: I'm another of the schmucks who picked up 1e before it was known there'd ever be a 2e. Not sure 1e has resale viability, but I'll gladly move it on if the opportunity arises--I have no desire to keep 2 versions of this.

Oh shit, forgot WAR OF THE RING.

I've got the ARES ( newest edition ) . I've also got the Anniversary Edition ( bigger map, pre painted minis ) . I also recently was gifted a friends 1st edition, which I brought up to 2E by . ordering a set of the larger 2E cards . So now I have one base game box, and another box with both expansions crammed into it.
