"Signed" by whom, though?

LOL, I'm wondering if they mean the certificate of authenticity which is presumably signed in every copy.

I do tend to keep games that I have painted, but have sold my painted Earth Reborn, Last Night on Earth, and partially painted Incursion.

I'm currently painting my copy of Deathwatch Overkill that I have owned for over 5 years. I will never get rid of it, and have declared to myself that I'm not playing it again until it's fully painted.

I've been on the hunt for that game for so long. Both BGG and Ebay prices never seem to drop below $200.

There don’t appear to be any recent completed auctions for the TS collectors edition so those people are probably just fishing.

I don’t think I’ve sold anything I regret now. I don’t mind shelf-toading stuff.

That being said, I did just sell off a couple of things due to a combination of not playing them in years nor likely to in the future and their current selling price. BSG + 2 expansions for $500 and a complete Arkham Horror 2nd edition set for $750 is hard to pass up. No regrets.

The big problem is that the people who would pay that much for any of these games would probably think the conditions most of my games are in is unacceptable.

I sold my deluxe Twilight Struggle for $300 a few years ago. It may be worth more now, but I have no regrets about selling it then.

The most I've ever paid for a game was $130 for Kanban EV with the metal cars. It's gorgeous. I had just returned from Vegas with some nice winnings, so no regrets there either. Then, literally two days after that purchase (before it had even arrived), someone bought my copy of Agents of SMERSH for $120, so I basically broke even anyway. Now that Vegas money is again burning a hole in my pocket, and that damn Barnes is making me look at Too Many Bones again.

I'm still struggling with whether or not to contact the seeker on BGG. It seems like a no-brainer to let it go, but I also just know in my gut that I would regret it. Both Shellhead and Charlest reflected my thoughts exactly.

I'm not sure I would ever mess with the physical game since the Steam version exists and makes everything less fiddly.

This. My games have way to much shelf wear to ever seriously sell.

A bit off topic, but the pandemic forced me to shutter two of my bars for a complete loss and I'm now in a legal battle with a predatory landlord to hang on to the one I have left. New York City standard personally guaranteed leases allow him to come after my house as well. I'm planning on selling off a shitload of rare and OOP games (BSG and expansions, Capes and Cowls, Heroquest, Tide of Iron, Assasinorum, Arkham Horror, etc.) to help defray my legal costs. Do you guys think I'd get more bang for my buck selling on ebay or setting up an auction over at BGG?

I've never done the BGG auction thing so I can't comment on that. I can say that with eBay you can expect them to take 12% plus whatever it costs to ship. They also have policies that can absolutely FUCK you over since they are entirely designed to "protect" the buyer. I got screwed over selling The Thing: Infection at Outpost 31 because the buyer was too fucking stupid to realize that the insert was a tight fit by design. Long story. Anyway, proceed with caution and take a LOT of pictures so you can prove there was no damage, etc.

As an aside, send me a PM regarding Assassinorum, I might be interested.
