I am truly stunned by how much I love this game. I never thought that I could love a cooperative game, but this one really has everything. The theme is just perfectly melded with game play. You ARE fighting a Horrible Monster, and you and your friends MUST save the world. The cards are beautiful. The characters are GENIUS both in terms of their imaginative back stories and also in how their abilities and weaknesses in the game so perfectly match who they are. Wonderful. Lot's and lot's of dice rolling chaotically to the cheers of friends and family together. This game has a somewhat high level of complexity, but that just adds layers to the various dimensions of fun that are here for time after time of outrageous, tooth gritting, and laughing out loud adventures.

My favorite part of this game is sitting back and watching all the players interact to discuss how they can use their abilities, spells and objects to the best advantage of the group. Arguments are fun too!

This is a perfect game. My only six star rating.

This game was cool the first time. I love the pieces and I love the way the temple builds around the game box. Beautiful! But after the first time, the love affair was quickly over. It's the same damn game and the same damn temple every time. Once you figure out how to get the most for your money the strategy is clear. To everyone. So there we all are building the same damn temple in the same damn order again. Play it once if someone has it laying around.

This is a great little game. Everything you could ask for in a short war game offered at a reasonable price. A great variety of Armies and Landscapes. Nice art on well printed cards and thick cardboard pieces. Again, all at a reasonable price. Perhaps too reasonable. It's hard for me to go back to pushing chits around the board after having so much fun with plastic army soldiers in Memoir 44, or the wonderful tactile feeling of chunky wooden pieces in Command & Colors. Overall, if your looking to build your collection of easy to play war games, pick this up. For me, I feel I have enough of this type of game in my collection to keep me busy for now. . . and a bunch of nifty toy soldiers!

Did you ever play with little plastic soldiers when you were a kid? This game brings me right back to the sandbox with beautiful plastic soldiers, tanks, artillery and more! Setting up the scenarios with landscape and obstacles and huge squadrons of soldiers is a big part of the fun.

Players draw cards that allow different movements on different parts of the map. Lots of dice with cool little military symbols painted on. Strategy, luck, victory, death, it's all there.

Often it feels as if perhaps the luck factor is more important than the strategy, but hey that's war, isn't it?

Not quite perfect, but if your looking for a short little war game and miss pushing around your plastic soldiers in the back yard, this is the game for you!

There is much here that truly is wonderful. Especially the Giant Monster pieces, but the various tanks and jets and Cruise missiles and such are all great too. There is certainly fun to be had stomping on cities and shooting down jets with your mutant powers. . . Too bad the end game shoots the whole thing to Hell. Unbelievably ridiculous. Makes the whole pre-game a waste of time. Why not just save an hour by picking monster and rolling a die. Highest roll wins. This game has about that much depth. Seriously.

Did I mention the great pieces. . . ?

Easy to learn, this game is loads of fight and fun. Beautiful painted pieces and a variety of boards to play on provide hours of entertainment. Interesting combinations of characters from the Star Wars universe in an endless battle to the death. Classic Ameritrash.

My Gods Man! If I wanted to spend my afternoon selling coffee I would have applied for a job at Dunkin Donuts.

I LOVE this game. Running around in Sunnydale trying to find the items that you need in order to defeat the "Big Bad". Fighting, rolling handfuls of colorful dice with stakes and bites on them, players cursing across the table at each other. What could be better? Can be played one on one, or players can work cooperatively as the "Scooby Gang". This is an older game by (no-way!) Hasbro, so no wooden pieces and such, but nonetheless the board and character pieces are beautiful. Overall, this is a surprisingly fun and well thought out game. Fun for everybody, but a special treat for fans of the show. Just be careful playing this game with Ubarose because she's likely to accidentally kick someone in the head while acting out the last turns sequence of events!
